Burgers are probably the ultimate comfort food. Delicious, hearty and easy to eat, there is something quite satisfying about grabbing one with both hands and taking that first, mouthwatering bite out of it. Relatively inexpensive, certainly compared to other dishes you’ll find on the menu, many venues claim to serve the best burger on the Sunshine Coast. But having done our research, we firmly believe the restaurants showcased below are the ones that do.
The Good Bar
The Good Bar is definitely one of the coolest burger joints in town. An American burger bar that is heavily influenced by hip hop, the venue specialises in exceptional comfort food. The burgers here are sensational. Especially the 'Tupacolypse', which is a broiche bun with a smashed beef patty, double bacon, Jack Cheddar Cheese and caramelised onion. The venue also serves great cocktails and presents weekend DJs that plays old skool hip hop and RnB tunes.

Dirty Moes
Located on the Esplanade in Mooloolaba, Dirty Moes is a vibrant dive bar and BBQ joint that specialises in slow cooked, soul food that is inspired by the American south. One of two burger joints in the Landmark Resort, the burgers here are among the best on the Sunshine Coast. They also offer a great range of craft beers, cocktails, and a huge range of whiskeys & rums too, in a cool setting with movie-themed décor.

Alex Bar & Grill
If you are looking for a family friendly burger bar then its hard to go past the Alex Bar & Grill. Located on Alexandra Parade this restaurant conveys amazing views of the coastline around Alexandra Headland. Known for dishing up a very good burger, the venue, which you will find opposite the skate park, also excels in buffalo wings, USA style pork ribs and a range of other spectacular grilled meals.

The second burger joint in Mooloolaba’s Landmark Resort, The Beach Bar & Grill is a place that combines, excellent food, with exceptional craft beer and incredible views of the beach. Its entrance is easy to miss, up a narrow stairwell that is set back a little from the Esplanade. But once you locate it, your tastebuds will be in for a real treat. If burgers aren’t your thing, then you should try one of their signature steaks.
